We keep waiting for youth to “begin,” not realizing it’s already happening. The song CBZ (Prime Time) by BSS celebrates the idea that youth is happening right now. “CBZ” comes from Cheongchuneun Baro Jigeum (“Youth is Now”) and also plays on cheongbaji (jeans), which is why denim appears throughout the promotions. In the lyrics, “we are CBZ” symbolizes youth itself, with BSS acting like the playful “presidents of youth.” Through Woozi’s wordplay, CBZ links jeans and youth to remind us that this moment is our prime time and while BSS can’t run our lives, we can still enjoy our own youth.

We spend our high school years working hard to get into a good college, then in college striving for a good job, and after that aiming to settle down or achieve other life goals. Most of us get stuck in this endless loop, constantly telling ourselves, “After this, I’ll finally enjoy life to the fullest.” But that moment rarely ever comes because we’re always chasing the next milestone instead of living in the present. You are wasting your youth expecting to live it tomorrow,

 If you live for tomorrow, tomorrow will never come.

The truth is, if you can’t enjoy life now, you won’t magically enjoy it later. I don’t intent to mean don’t work hard for your future, just know there might not be a tomorrow.

Like CBZ’s message, “Youth is now.” Don’t wait for life to be perfect to enjoy it. The time you have today is the prime time. live it fully, because once it’s gone, you can’t go back to it. Many of us also stop ourselves from truly living because we’re afraid of being judged. We worry about what others will think if we fail, choose a different path, or consequences that may never come. That fear takes away our freedom and makes us live for approval instead of happiness. Society teaches us success = happiness, but that’s not the case.

So, while chasing dreams is important, you can’t forget to live while you’re doing it. Laugh with your friends, sing even if you’re off-key, and appreciate the little things. These moments are what youth truly is about not just success or achievements. The mistakes, the laughter, and even the mistakes are what make a time worth it. If we keep living safe within this loss of our best time, we’ll miss out on the best parts of being young. So don’t wait, don’t fear, and don’t over think cause happiness doesn’t come from grades, it comes from BSS.
